plastic pallet is better than wooden pallet（the Food Hygiene Management Act requires those businesses in the fields using plastic pallet to prevent from bacteria, mould, insect pest, food contamination etc.) and plastic pallet is much easier in cleaning.

Due to cost and time-effect, pallets are mostly made of wood. The raise of quarantine standard :
In order to protect natural ecology in territory, advanced countries drew up strict regulations of quarantine for the carrier containers, packaging materials and palletting materials for imported goods to prevent the packaging material from media carrying blight into territory and causing extensive contagious diseases.
Thus, wooden pallet is the first one to be affected that those packing made of log in thickness above 6mm (0.24”) should be Heat-treated (HT) or Methyl Bromide (MB) steamed sterilized and stick certified label of International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) on the both opposite surface of the packing for approval; where the goods should be delivered to port and custom cleared within 20 days from the date of treatment.
For those cargos arrived packed with disqualified wood (without treatment or labeled) will be refused custom clearance and will be returned from arrival port. While, plastic pallet comes without above problem and torment, meets quarantine standard.
